Importing your contacts to Luma makes it easy to quickly invite people you know to your events. You can sync contacts from your phone (iOS or Android app) or from your Google account (website).

## Import Phone Contacts (iOS or Android App)

To import contacts from your phone using the Luma app:

1. Open your event in the Luma app
2. Tap **Invite**
3. You’ll see a prompt to connect your contacts
4. Allow access to sync your phone’s contacts

Once connected, you can easily search and select contacts to invite to any of your events.

## Import Google Contacts (Website)

There are two ways to connect your Google contacts on the website:

**From an event:**

1. Go to your event page
2. Click **Invite Guests**
3. You’ll see a prompt to connect your Google account
4. Follow the authorization flow to sync your contacts

**From settings:**

1. Go to [luma.com/settings](https://luma.com/settings)
2. Scroll down to find the Google contacts section
3. Connect your Google account

Once connected, your Google contacts will be available whenever you invite guests to events.

## Managing Your Imported Contacts

**Stop syncing Google contacts:**

To disconnect your Google account and stop syncing contacts:

1. Go to [luma.com/settings](https://luma.com/settings)
2. Find the Google contacts section
3. Disconnect your account

**Delete all contacts (iOS or Android):**

To remove all imported contacts from the Luma app:

1. Go to any event and tap **Invite**
2. Tap on the **”Invite Guests”** header at the top of the screen
3. Select the option to delete all contacts

**Manage contact permissions:**

You can manage contact syncing and permissions from the app:

1. Tap your profile icon in the bottom navigation
2. Tap **Settings** (gear icon)
3. Tap **Permissions**
4. Toggle **Contacts Syncing** on or off

On iOS 18+, if you’ve granted limited contact access, you’ll see an option to select which specific contacts the app can access.

## Privacy and Security

- Imported contacts are only used to help you invite people to your events
- Contact data is stored securely and never shared with other users
- You can disconnect and delete your contacts at any time
- Contacts are synced periodically to keep your list up to date
